Poplar Trust, a Division of The Bank of Fayette County, was formed in an effort to build upon The Bank’s legacy of focusing on the needs of its customers, employees, and communities. Being founded in 1905, The Bank has survived two World Wars, the Great Depression, and the Great recession. The Bank’s strength, both financial and operational, is the backbone of Poplar Trust.
We offer a multi-participant fiduciary services platform to families and their professional advisors. By working with families to establish a well-structured directed trust relationship, Poplar Trust is able to focus on providing exceptional personal service atop of technical expertise in trust and estate administration. We do not prepare estate plans or estate planning documents, nor do we manage investments or prepare tax filings. Instead our trust officers develop and maintain strong relationships with families and their selected trust and estate attorneys, financial advisors, and accountants while administering the trusts in which Poplar Trust has been named to serve in a fiduciary capacity.
Our knowledge, expertise, and personal relationships are the foundation on which Poplar Trust has built its commitment to providing quality fiduciary services to members of our local communities and their professional advisors.
We put “Personal” back in Personal Trust.
